The month-long event, to be held along the Han River, will begin on June 3, according to Da Nang City authorities. It will host pyrotechnic teams from Vietnam and seven other countries who will perform for five nights. Each performance will last 20 to 22 minutes featuring a specific theme.
Ha Vy, Deputy Director of the Da Nang municipal People’s Committee, said: "At next year’s festival, we require impressive stage designs and performances. Through the festival, we hope to attract more visitors to Da Nang city and Quang Nam province and connect cultural and tourist relic sites. We hope to further promote the city’s socio-economic and cultural activities."
First organized in 2008, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival is part of activities to popularize the locality as an attractive tourist destination.
