Da Nang’s festival highlights Vietnamese, Japanese culture
(VOVWORLD) -The Vietnam-Japan Cultural Exchange Festival 2017 kicked off in Da Nang city on Friday, featuring technology, fashion, handicrafts, cosmetics, and food.

Visitors are treated to a space for culture, cuisine, tourism, and education exchanges, together with calligraphy demonstrations, Kimono fashion shows, Japan’s tea ceremony and film screenings. There will also be Japanese speaking and Cosplay contests.
The highlight of the 3-day festival was a street performance at the opening ceremony involving more than 100 artists from the two countries.
Briu Thuong, chief of an art troupe from Quang Nam province, said: “It’s an honor for me to participate in the festival. This is an excellent opportunity for us to introduce our Co Tu ethnic minority culture to Japanese people.”
Budget airline Jetstar Pacific will take this occasion to announce its direct flights from Da Nang to Osaka, starting on September 1.
