(VOVworld) – Defense cooperation will enable Vietnam and Cambodia to ensure security and political stability and build stronger armies to thwart hostile schemes aimed at sabotaging bilateral friendship. At a meeting in Hanoi on Monday, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan and visiting General Nem Sowat, Head of the Department of Policy and Foreign Affairs of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, promised greater cooperation in personnel training and collection of reference materials about the two armed forces’ historical landmarks. Tuan said Vietnam’s Defense Ministry and the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army will boost bilateral cooperation in studying the history of security and defense in each country.
