Defense Minister receives Thai Permanent Secretary of Defense Ministry
(VOVWORLD) - Defense Minister General Ngo Xuan Lich hosted a reception on Tuesday for Permanent Secretary of the Thai Ministry of Defense Chaichan Changmonkol, who is leading a delegation to attend the first Vietnam-Thailand defense policy dialogue in Hanoi.

Mr. Lich said comprehensive and effective defense and military cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand has contributed to strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the two defense ministries.
He suggested the two sides increase collaboration in joint sea patrols, safeguarding fishermen, sharing experience in managing and protecting the border, and building borderlines of peace, friendship, cooperation and development. The two sides should also strengthen friendship activities and exchanges of delegations at all levels.
On Tuesday, General Changmongkol held talks with Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh. Both sides reviewed the cooperation outcomes between the two armies and discussed future cooperation orientations.
