(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Defense has implemented policies and practical activities to pay tribute to war invalids, contributors, and relatives of war martyrs prior to War Martyrs and Invalids Day on July 27.
The Ministry spent nearly 80,000 USD on gifts for war invalids, sick and wounded soldiers at rehabilitation centers, relatives of war martyrs, heroic mothers, and revolutionary contributors. The Defense Ministry has cooperated with the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Public Security, Nhan Dan newspaper, and Quang Nam province to organize a meeting to honor outstanding national contributors in 2014. The Ministry has also given priority to recruit children of war martyrs and invalids to work in the ministry’s agencies.
