The funeral is being held at Lam Son pagoda in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue. The memorial service will run until the end of Saturday, while the burial service will be organized on Sunday. With his great contributions to Buddhism and the nation, Most Venerable Thich Duc Phuong was honored with noble awards by the Party, State and the VBS, including the Independence Order, third class, and the Great National Unity Order.
