(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh chaired a meeting on Wednesday in Hanoi with the Central Steering Committee on Sustainable Poverty Reduction.
Delegates contributed opinions regarding investment for the National Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in the 2016-2020 period.
The program aims to speed up poverty reduction, prevent poverty relapse, and facilitate poor people and households in accessing basic social services, contributing to reducing the number of poor households nationwide by up to 1.5% annually.
Ninh asked ministries and sectors to specify sub-projects to support poverty reduction and allocate maximum possible capital for the national poverty reduction program.
