Deputy PM inspects COVID-19 prevention in Tay Ninh’s border area
(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh on Sunday inspected COVID-19 measures in Tay Ninh province, which borders Cambodia and is 100 km from Ho Chi Minh City.

Visiting pandemic checkpoints at the Moc Bai and Xa Mat border gates, where Mr. Binh handed out gifts and encouraged soldiers to stay on guard on the front line of the fight against the coronavirus.
Meeting with provincial leaders, the Deputy Prime Minister urged Tay Ninh to promote communications and raise public awareness of regulations issued by the Ministry of Health.
He urged quick tracing of contacts, careful handling of infected people, and plans, including worst-case scenarios, for the pandemic.

Tay Ninh province has recorded 38 cases of COVID-19, all of whom entered Vietnam via a border gate and were quarantined upon arrival. Twenty-six cases have been discharged from the hospital.
