Deputy PM notes great progress in Vietnam-Laos relations
(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh said Thursday he is delighted to see the remarkable progress in the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, as well as the close and effective ties between the two foreign ministries.

Mr. Minh made the statement when he received Lao Deputy Foreign Minister Khamphau Ernthavan who is in Vietnam to co-chair the third Vietnam-Laos political consultation at the deputy foreign minister level. He stressed the significance of the Vietnam-Laos political consultation mechanism, saying the two sides should discuss issues openly with mutual trust in an effort to deepen cooperation.
Ernthavan said the annual consultation between the two foreign ministers and the political consultation at the deputy foreign minister level have significantly contributed to strengthening the special ties between Vietnam and Laos.
