(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has urged the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to strengthen the management of natural resources, environmental protection and response to climate change.

These were major tasks Mr. Dung set out at a conference on Monday to review the operations of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in the first haft of this year. Mr. Dung said the Ministry needs to supervise and complete the legal documents, supplement regulations related to Vietnam’s commitments in the international integration context - including creating a favorable investment environment, maintaining ecological balance, and economic development with regard to environmental protection. The Deputy Prime Minister also urged the Ministry to improve the efficiency of the supervisory work of the implementation of laws and policies on natural resources and environment, enhance international cooperation, and mobilize technology and financial resources in its management of natural resources and environment.
