Deputy PM urges Samsung to build R&D center in Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue received General Director of Samsung Vietnam Shim Won-hwan in Hanoi on Thursday and applauded Samsung’s increased use of locally made components in its products.

Mr. Hue asked Samsung to build a new research and development center in Vietnam soon, adding that the Vietnamese Government will actively support the project.
Mr. Shim said Samsung has created a training program to turn Vietnamese firms into suppliers, has organized workshops and support industry exhibitions to seek new suppliers, and has sent Korean experts to Vietnam to advise potential suppliers.
