(VOVworld) – Thai Hoa town in Nghe An province received a certificate recognizing it as a new rural area on Friday.
In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue, who is head of the steering committee for the new rural development program said new rural development is the target, task, and important solution to implement the party resolution on agriculture, farmers, and rural areas. He said the program has become a widespread movement nationwide, involving the political system and a large number of people. Vietnam targets half of its communes recognized as new rural areas by 2020.
