Mr. Phuc said at the event: “As the bright future of Vietnam depends on regional and global peace, stability and prosperity, Vietnam is striving to integrate into the world, particularly in economics. We are promoting dialogue and cooperation on a basis of respect for independence, sovereignty, equality, and mutual benefit as well as international law, regarding this as a foundation and the most effective tool to protect the legitimate interests of countries”.

Mr. Phuc said Vietnam, along with other ASEAN members, is implementing ASEAN Vision 2025 to build a community of solidarity, development and prosperity and promoting the bloc’s central role in the regional architecture: “Vietnam is actively preparing for the 2018 World Economic Forum on ASEAN which will take place in Hanoi next month under the theme “ASEAN 4.0: Entrepreneurship and the Fourth Industrial Revolution”. The event convenes senior officials and nearly 1,000 entrepreneurs”.
