(VOVworld)- Vietnamese diplomats overseas are asked to continue promoting investment, culture and tourism cooperation as well as diplomatic relations between Vietnam and their host countries.

Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Truong Thi Mai made the call at a meeting with ambassadors and heads of Vietnamese diplomatic missions overseas for the 2016-2019 tenure in Hanoi on Wednesday. She expressed her hope that the diplomats will effectively popularise the guidelines of the Party as well as the State’s policies and laws on foreign relations and activities towards Vietnamese nationals living abroad. She urged the diplomats to thoroughly grasp the situation of the overseas Vietnamese communities, take appropriate measures to support them, create favorable conditions for Vietnamese expatriates to develop business activities in the homeland, and encourage them to contribute opinions to the Party’s guidelines and the policies and laws of the State.
