(VOVworld) – Contestant Do My Linh from Hanoi defeated her 29 rivals to become Miss Vietnam 2016 at the final round of the national beauty pageant  Sunday night in Ho Chi Minh city.

Ngo Thanh Thanh Tu and Huynh Thi Thuy Dung were runner-ups. Linh who won the title for her smart answer also received a cash prize worth 500 million VND or nearly 25,000 USD. The top three beauty queens will tour Japan’s Fukuoka and Nagasaki. This year’s contest focused on projects of social and humanitarian significance, cherishing beauty, intellect, and compassion.
