Domestic businesses urged to make full use of EVFTA
(VOVWORLD) - In the two years since it took effect, the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement has boosted Vietnam’s exports, said a Vietnamese trade official.

Tran Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Agency of Foreign Trade, addressed Monday's seminar in Hanoi on making full use of the EVFTA to build brands for Vietnamese commodities.
Over the past two years, Vietnam has earned 83 billion USD from exports to the EU - a growth of 15%. Foreign markets are now buying more Vietnamese seafood and rice.
Ngo Chung Khanh, Deputy Director of the Multilateral Trade Policy Department, urged domestic enterprises to take advantage of the EVFTA by focusing on high-tariff products like vegetables, fruits, and seafood which have benefited from a sharp reduction in tariffs.
