(VOVWORLD) - The State Bank of Vietnam has sent an emergency dispatch to commercial banks in regards to transactions with Russia.
According to the document, as the US and the EU have imposed sanctions on Russia, the Vietnamese commercial banking system is facing a number of negative impacts, especially those directly doing business with Russian financial institutions.
The central bank is reviewing payment activities between Vietnamese enterprises and their Russian partners through the commercial banking system and has asked Vietnamese commercial banks to report on cooperation with the Russian side as authorized dealers, in payment revenue, money transfer, and cooperation projects.
