(VOVworld) - The self-defense forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) have completed the withdrawal of heavy weaponry from the demarcation line under observation of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), according to DPR spokesman Eduard Basurin.

The Ukrainian government has pulled out some of its heavy weapons in the Donetsk and Lugansk Regions. Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said the heavy weapons will return to their positions if separatists in eastern Ukraine violate the ceasefire. Withdrawing heavy weapons is the second of 13 measures of the Minsk agreement signed by the Ukraine Contact Group on February 12.
