(VOVworld) – UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said that the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea had cancelled his visit, the day before he was due to arrive at an industrial complex in the Kaesong economic zone.

Speaking at a forum in Seoul, Mr Ban said that the move was “deeply regrettable” and that no explanation had been given.
When he first announced the meeting on Tuesday, Mr Ban said that he would urge the DPRK to co-operate with the international community for peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula.
