(VOVworld)- The 22^nd session of the Law Committee of the National Assembly opened in Thua Thien Hue province on Wednesday. Discussing the draft law on association, the deputies stressed the importance of political and social organizations. They agreed on the need to classify associations, their role and functions and right to membership as well as state authority in ensuring the right to establish an association. The deputies urged the prevention of hostile forces and reactionary organizations which are likely to abuse the law to sabotage the Party and State and undermine political security, law and order. A number of deputies agreed with the government’s proposal on designating an agency that will be in charge of association leaders to strengthen the state management of associations.
