(VOVworld) – The National Assembly Standing Committee discussed the draft law on the supervision of the National Assembly and People’s Councils on Tuesday. Delegates focused their discussions on votes of confidence and regulations on hearings. Chairwoman of the Committee for Social Affairs Truong Thi Mai said:  “The vote of confidence on people elected or ratified by the National Assembly is a right of the legislature. It is also stipulated in the 2013 Constitution.”

Concerning the supervision of People’s Councils, the Legal Committee proposed that permanent members of People’s Councils at the provincial, district and communal levels have the authority to supervise.
