The law covers the master plan and planning of land use, land acquisition and compensation, support and resettlement policies, land fund development, land allocation, land lease, change of land use purpose, and land registration, certification, and administrative procedures.

Ideas for the draft law can be sent to the legislature through the online portals of the National Assembly, the Government, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and mass media.

The majority of citizens strongly support being consulted. They agreed that collecting public feedback on the draft law demonstrates democracy and the people's right to participate in law-making thus ensuring citizens’ interests.

They recommended administrations at the grassroots level to work with mass organizations to gather people's opinions, because this is a very important bill.

Another person praised the National Assembly’s proposal for acknowledging people's aspirations, adding that real estate prices are rising so it’s necessary to protect the interests of people whose land is reclaimed.
