Addressing Sunday’s ceremony in Hanoi to mark the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's appeal for patriotic emulation, Prime Minister Chinh emphasized that on June 11, 1948, President Ho Chi Minh issued a call for patriotic emulation in the country, saying "Emulation is patriotic, patriots must emulate, emulators are the most patriotic people."

President Ho Chi Minh's appeal has inspired and encouraged the entire Party, people and army to promote the patriotic tradition, the spirit of solidarity, and the will of self-reliance to overcome all difficulties and hardships and come up with innovative initiatives in labor, production and combat, making practical contributions to national construction and defense.

Patriotic emulation has really become a widespread movement from lowland to mountainous areas, borders and islands, from urban to rural areas with the active participation of the people, from the elderly to children, and achieved admirable results, the PM said, calling it an important impetus for the Vietnamese revolution to go from one victory to another.

Prime Minister Chinh emphasized that the 700 role models attending the meeting are representing millions of outstanding collectives and individuals in all fields and regions of the country. They, regardless of age, position or profession, shine with patriotism, dynamism, and creativity, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the common good of the community and compatriots, and represent the willpower, energy, aspiration to rise up, and dedication to the community and society.
