(VOVworld) – A workshop on the application of e-commerce to mobile phones was held on Friday in Ho Chi Minh city as part of activities to mark Online shopping day – Online Friday 2015, held by the Vietnam E-Commerce and Information Technology Agency.

Participants shared experiences in developing e-commerce on mobile phones, including online market access, payments, transactions and advertising. Vietnam is one country which has seen rapid internet development, with 150 percent growth rate in the last 3 years. At present, nearly 40 percent of Vietnamese people access the internet everyday. 70 percent of these are young people who surf the web for information and to make transactions.
