Egypt foils a bomb plot against foreign embassy
Egypt says it has foiled an Al Qaeda plot to carry out a suicide attack on a foreign embassy in the country. Egypt's interior minister Mohamed Ibrahim says security forces have arrested three men with links to the Middle East and Pakistan. He says they were found possessing 10 kilograms of the bomb-making ingredient aluminium nitrate. The arrested suspects are thought to have connection with Al-Qaeda leader outside Egypt and were trained in Pakistan. Mr. Ibrahim said these people have plotted to take advantage of transition period in Egypt to cause disorder. Egypt announced that it has arrested those who have link with Al-Qaeda including one group being on trial.
