Egypt, Palestine seek to restore Middle East peace process
(VOVWORLD) - Egypt will continue working to revive negotiations between Palestine and Israel to reach a just and comprehensive solution that guarantees the right of the Palestinians to establish an independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital city.

President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi made the statement during a meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday on the sidelines of the ongoing World Youth Forum in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.
President al-Sisi stressed the need to end the political split of Palestinian factions and asked all parties to promote reconciliation. President Abbas said he hopes reconciliation within Palestine will advance the peace progress with Israel.
