(VOVworld) – Egypt’s parliamentary elections will begin on March 22. The High Elections Commission said on Thursday the election will be held in two phases, starting with 14 of Egypt's 27 provinces. In the first phase, voters will go to the polls on March 22-23 with runoffs scheduled for April 1 and 2. The second phase will be held in the remaining 13 provinces, including Cairo on April 26-27. Runoffs will be on May 6-7. Approximately 55 million eligible Egyptian voters will cast ballots.
