(VOVworld) - Electricity of Vietnam will speed up investment in renewable energy while terminating the building of new thermal power projects. Vice CEO of Electricity of Vietnam, Dinh Quang Tri, says the government’s power maspler plan until 2020 prioritizes the development of small scale hydro power plants, solar and wind farm: “A combination of measures will be implemented to attract investment in renewable energy projects. Models will be developed to help households produce electricity from solar energy. Market will be created to promote renewable energy to increase supply and better serve demand.”
