Addressing the event in Hanoi on Wednesday, Deputy Minister Hoang Quoc Vuong said staggering energy demand of up to 130,000 megawatts by 2030 requires drastic power saving in the context of delayed work progress in various projects. “Energy saving and efficient power consumption help preserve national energy sources for sustainable economic growth and environment protection. This will enable Vietnam deliver its international commitments in greenhouse gases reduction to cope with global climate change,” Mr. Vuong added.
