Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, urged the unit’s staff to work closely to cope with challenges and successfully fulfill all tasks assigned by the UN and the Ministry.
Senior Lieutenant General Tan encouraged the soldiers to foster a positive image of the Vietnamese People’s Army in the hearts of international friends and local residents in the area of deployment. This will contribute to effectively implementing the foreign policy of the Party and State, elevating Vietnam's international status, and creating a favorable international environment for national development and defense in the current era.
Last November, Vietnam's Engineering Unit Rotation 2, comprising over 200 personnel, including 19 females, was established by a decision signed by the Minister of National Defense.
