(VOVworld) – 36 Vietnamese officers of different forces of the Vietnam People’s Army will join a 6-to-9-month English course provided by the British Council and funded by the UK Ministry of Defense.

The course, which opened in Hanoi Monday, is part of a program in its 4^th year and will equip Vietnamese officers with sufficient English language skills to join specialized courses held by the UK Ministry of Defense. Trainees with the greatest fluency will be eligible for some of the UK’s most advanced military command training courses for future general officers conducted at the Defense Academy in Shrivenham, UK.
