The delegates discussed measures to enhance democracy at the grassroots levels in 2015 with a focus on realizing the Party guidelines and state policies on promoting socialist democracy according to the Resolution of the 11^th Party Congress and the 2013 Constitution. Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Huynh Ngoc Son said the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level needed to aim at creating a consensus in society in order to successfully fulfill the set targets for this year and the years to come: “Democracy needs to be implemented in line with the 2013 Constitution to promote people’s right to democracy and create a social consensus. A number of laws relating to basic citizen rights will take effect in 2015. They include the laws on Demonstration, Association, Belief and Religion and Information Access. This will contribute to the fulfillment of socio-economic tasks in 2015 and the coming years.
