Ericsson and RMIT University sign an agreement to launch an AI Lab at RMIT's Hanoi campus, August 18, 2023.

The initiative aims to nurture young talents in 5G and AI applications, thereby accelerating Vietnam's Industry 4.0 roadmap and realize the country’s ambition to become an AI hub in Southeast Asia by 2030.

The AI Lab will educate Vietnamese students on 5G and emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, blockchain, cloud computing, AR/VR, and automation, enabling them to contribute to Vietnam’s digital economy and Industry 4.0 digital transformation journey.

Through this initiative, Ericsson and RMIT will also support industry, academia, and community partners to create and implement AI solutions that will spearhead the adoption of Industry 4.0 across various sectors, including energy, manufacturing, agriculture, transport, and logistics.
