(VOVworld) – The EU will cut at least 40% of its greenhouse gases by 2030, tweeted Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council, on Friday. The EU Summit in Brussels on Thursday also targeted a 27% market share for renewable energy and a 27% increase in energy efficiency, said Rompuy, in addition to pledging to tighten cross-border links to improve the flow of energy supplies between member states.
