The data was revealed at the Mekong Connect 2020 forum held in Dong Thap province on Monday to boost Mekong Delta products and services in the global value chain.
“We hope localities have action plans to raise businesses’ awareness of the benefit of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, particularly the tariff cut roadmap and European standards. This will help boost exports to Europe and improve standards which will benefit both businesses and Vietnamese consumers,” said Nguyen Hai Minh, Vice Chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam.
Vietnam earned more than 32 billion USD from exports to the EU in the past 11 months. Mekong Connect 2020 was attended by representatives from 700 businesses, investors, the European Chamber of Commerce, and the American Chamber of Commerce.
