The agreement will create the world’s largest free trade area, serving around 1 billion consumers. But some Europeans reject the agreement’s ambitious goal. Tens of thousands of Germans took to the streets to protest the TTIP. Similar marches were held in Belgium, Spain, Finland, and Poland. Many protesters said if the TTIP is signed, Europe will become dependent on US political and economic interests.
