Exhibition of maps and documents about Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes
(VOVworld) - The central province of Phu Yen has hosted an exhibition displaying objects and documents confirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes. On display are nearly 100 collections of maps published by the West and China since the 17th century.
A researcher specializing in Hoang Sa and Truong Sa, Dr Tran Duc Anh Son said he found the objects and documents impressive. Son said: “This is a birth registration paper of a baby girl born on Hoang Sa in 1940. This proves Vietnam’s time honored civilian activities and the country’s actual possession of the islands.”
