Exhibition of Vietnamese old ceramic statues

(VOVworld) - An exhibition of Vietnamese old ceramic statues opened on Tuesday at the Vietnam National Museum of History in Hanoi.

The exhibition displays about 70 objects dating back from the Ly dynasty to the Nguyen dynasty and are divided dividing into 3 groups, including life, religious and architectural purposes. The ceramic statues are the earliest arts in human civilization in the world. In Vietnam, it appeared 4000 years ago in Phung Nguyen cultures. Ceramic statues became more diversified in color, material and decoration and they not also served artistic demand but also life and religious practices. The exhibition will open until the end of August.
