Female diplomats celebrate International Women’s Day in Hanoi
(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a gathering in Hanoi on Friday to belatedly celebrate International Women’s Day (March 8), attracting the participation of female diplomats, officials, and wives of foreign ambassadors to Vietnam.

In her opening remarks, Ambassador Nguyen Nguyet Nga, the wife of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh and Honorary President of the ASEAN Women's Circle of Hanoi (AWCH), said the event aims to increase exchange and connection between Vietnamese female diplomats and their foreign colleagues. She said she treasures the female diplomats’ support in facilitating Vietnam’s international integration as well as ensuring gender equality in the country.
