Festival promotes culture of Cai Rang Floating Market
(VOVWORLD) - The third Cai Rang Floating Market and Tourism festival will kick off on Saturday in Can Tho city to promote the culture and history of the market, a national intangible cultural heritage.

A number of activities will be held during the three-day festival, including book, newspaper, and calligraphy exhibitions, exhibitions on historial and legal evidence of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa, and workshops on measures to attract tourists to the floating market. The Mekong delta composite boat race will involve 117 athletes from 8 provinces.
Performances of don ca tai tu (amateur singing) will take place during the festival, which highlights the market culture of trading goods on boats.
