(VOVworld) – Cuba media ran deep coverage of meeting this week between leader Fidel Castro and a group of visiting Venezuelan youths. This was the first time he has appeared in public for 14 months. The one and half an hour meeting in Havana was accidental.

The Granma quoted sayings of some youngsters that they were most impressed by firm handshakes, sagacity, and understanding about Venezuela of leader Castro who is going to turn 89. They said that Castro is full of vitality.
The meeting took place at the Educational Complex Vilma Espin Guillois which the former President inaugurated in 2013. He also talked with teachers and students there.
