(VOVworld)- US Under-Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, Stefan Selig, said the world has changed since Cuba was put on the State Sponsors of Terrorism List and Obama’s new policy to lift the Cuban embargo is a historic decision and a proper move. Selig issued the statement on Wednesday during a conference held in Pennsylvania, adding that the US Secretary of State might soon remove Cuba from this list.

Roberta Jacobson, the Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, also said that the list’s revision process has been undertaken by the US Secretary of State but no results have been released so far. Ms. Jacobson admitted that not much information would be revealed until both sides re-open their embassies. She said the model for the US embassy in Cuba would be similar to those in Russia and China.
