In 2016, Vietnam was chosen as the location for the filming which took place in 5 scenery spots in the northern central provinces of Vietnam. They are Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, Tam Coc – Bich Dong, Van Long Westland, Ha Long Bay, and Phong Nha Cave.
The filming is said to create a breakthrough in attracting international film making projects to Vietnam and opens an opportunity for Vietnam to promote its tourism.
Nguyen Anh Tuan, the Director of the Institute of Tourism Research and Development, said: “This is a good opportunity to promote Vietnam’s tourism. The places chosen for filming the movie are known for their spectacular scenery and are the destinations for those who want to experience ecotourism, adventure tourism, and to explore the local culture. I believe that after the film is premiered, the number of foreign visitors to Vietnam will rise.”
