(VOVworld) - Construction of the first fresh water reservoir in Bach Long Vy island district in the northern city of Hai Phong began on Monday. The 40,000 square meter reservoir, which will cost 8.8 million USD from the financial resources for climate change response, will have a capacity of 60,000 cubic meters of water. The construction project, invested by the volunteer youth organization of Hai Phong, will not only help ensure a water supply for the local people but also serve fishermen who operate offshore in the Tonkin Gulf.
