Speaking at the first National Forum on Developing Vietnamese Technology Companies in Hanoi on Thursday, the Prime Minister said Vietnam needs to overcome challenges with creativity, innovation and determination. He said: “Vietnamese tech firms need to commit to improving the growth of the Vietnamese economy to increase its status in the global value chain. Vietnamese tech firms are responsible for leading the national digital transformation, developing the digital economy, and mastering the core technologies. Throughout this process, Vietnamese tech firms need to adhere to the motto: “Created in Vietnam, designed in Vietnam, Vietnam masters technology and production.”
The Prime Minister said the government and relevant ministries and agencies will soon issue a strategy on national digital transformation to create a new market for tech firms. He called on Vietnamese enterprises to join in efforts to prevent Vietnam from falling into the middle-income trap and develop a prosperous Vietnam.
Themed “Aspiration, Vision and Strategy for a Prosperous Vietnam” and with the action slogan of “Make in Vietnam,” the forum aims to build up a community of Vietnamese technology companies.
