First Vietnamese named honorary Seoul citizen
(VOVWORLD) - Le Nguyen Minh Phuong became the first Vietnamese citizen to be designated an honorary Seoul citizen. Phuong and 17 other foreigners were honored at a ceremony on Wednesday in Seoul.

The city government has offered honorary citizenship to non-Koreans who have demonstrated their dedication to Seoul each year since 1958.
Phuong has been working as a translator and interpreter for high-level delegations from Vietnam, as a teacher of Vietnamese and Korean, and as a host of the KBS World Radio and VTV channel.
