(VOVworld) – On Wednesday, the Spanish health ministry reported that a woman who had returned from Colombia had been diagnosed with the mosquito-born Zika virus.

The ministry said the pregnant woman from Catalonia is in her 14th week and is one of seven cases in Spain, all of which are in good condition.

The same day, Nicaraguan authorities declared Nicaragua’s first three pregnant women infected with the Zika virus, bringing the total number of cases in Nicaragua to 29.
