(VOVworld)- On Wednesday, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism said that 800,000 foreigners had visited Vietnam in January, up 5.8% against last month. Vietnam’s major tourist markets including China, Japan, Russia, the Republic of Korea, the US, and Taiwan (China) saw a high increase in January.
The number of tourists from the Republic of Korea was 150,000, up 30% against December. This year, Vietnam aims to welcome 8.5 million foreign tourists and serve 60 million Vietnamese tourists. Director of the VNAT Nguyen Van Tuan said that the tourism sector aims to improve its performance and professionalism through advertising and promotional activities.
