(VOVworld) - paid an official visit to Qatar over the weekend at the invitation of Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani, Prime Minister cum Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar. After talks between with his counterpart, Minister Minh met the Crown Prince of Qatar and a number of  senior officials. At meetings and talks, both sides exchanged views on measures to improve the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation, agreed on the need to boost the exchange of visits and support each other at international and regional forums. They also agreed to boost cooperation in economics, trade, investment, and labor. Vietnam and Qatar stressed the need to promptly hold the first meeting of the inter-governmental committee in order to finalize legal framework and set out direction for bilateral cooperation.
