Former President pays tribute to martyrs, who defended Vietnam's northern border
(VOVWORLD) -Former President Truong Tan Sang on Saturday attended a memorial service for martyrs who lost their lives in the struggle for defending Vietnam’s northern border.

Former President Sang was joined by Deputy Minister of Defense Senior Lieutenant General Le Chiem at the service in Vi Xuyen National Martyrs’ Cemetery, in Ha Giang province.
Mr. Sang and other delegates offered incense and flowers in remembrance of those who laid down their lives for national defense. At the ceremony, 7 sets of martyrs’ remains were buried in Vi Xuyen National Martyrs’ Cemetery.
